Apprenticeships are work-based programmes which involve training whilst working for an employer. An apprentice works at their employer’s premises, gaining practical experience and skills while working towards completing an apprenticeship which is relevant to their job.

The ICA, apprenticeship is based on the ICATS modules and was created by CORREX and managed and approved by ICorr. August 2020 saw the first students complete their 18 month apprenticeship by completing the ‘End Point Assessment’. Each student gained a mark of ‘distinction’. The EPA was conducted by Kevin Harold, CORREX MD and ICorr member, and John Dunk of BINDT. The apprenticeship is being taught by Jack Tighes and DN College.
