Course Overview

For many years the role of a supervisor on industrial coating sites was not fully recognised. There are many issues specific to the industry a supervisor will have to deal with.

The ICATS Supervisor module was developed to help the supervisor improve safety, standards and communication on site.
A qualified Supervisor is a mandatory requirement for companies undertaking projects for Highways England. The maximum number of people that a supervisor shall control at any one time shall be defined in the quality plan.

Who can become an ICATS Supervisor?

Candidates undergoing training for the Supervisor Module must hold certification as an ICATS Industrial Coating Applicator prior to commencing training and have experience of 2 years, or, have an attested experience record showing 2 years in a supervisory or Technical Manager role, or have 5 years verifiable experience in the coating industry. The supervisor card does not carry the CSCS logo and would need the ICA card for admission to site purposes, where required, as it does carry the CSCS logo.

Training:

The module is a two-day classroom-based course which comprises of presentations, workshops, theoretical and practical assessments.
Courses take place on a regular basis at our Northampton Training facility and other locations by arrangement as required.
